Serco gets $38 million missile radar contract
Reston, Va. (UPI) Jun 17, 2016
Serco has been awarded a $38 million U.S. Army contract to upgrade the High Altitude Electromagnetic Pulse, or HEMP, protection portion of the Ballistic Missile Early Warning System radar, the company announced Friday. The system supports the mission at Thule Air Force Base in Greenland, the company said in a statement. The five-year contract was competitively bid and awarded under the Corps of Engineers.
