Russia denies S-300 missile system export
Moscow (UPI) Aug 2, 2010
Russia has denied providing S-300 missile system to Azerbaijan. Last year Russia became the world's second-largest arms exporter after the United States and one of Rosoboronexport's, Russia's governmental arms export agency's most popular items after aircraft and warships is the S-300 anti-aircraft system. Australian laser system to track space junk
Sydney (AFP) July 20, 2010
An Australian company Tuesday said it had developed a laser tracking system that will stop chunks of space debris colliding with spacecraft and satellites in the Earth's orbit. Electric Optic Systems said lasers fired from the ground would locate and track debris as small as 10 centimetres (four inches) across, protecting astronauts and satellites.
