Northrop Grumman receives AESA radar contract![]() Washington (UPI) Jun 1, 2017 The U.S. Air Force awarded a contract to Northrop Grumman for 72 radar systems, as well as spares and support services, the Department of Defense announced on Wednesday. The $243.9 million contract is for Active Electronically Scanned Array, or AESA, radars. Orbital ATK has received a $90 million contract from Northrop Grumman for composite materials meant for maintenance of the B-2 Spirit heavy stealth bomber. The production will include 17 Hot Trailing Edge, or HTE, parts for the bomber.

Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems has received an $11 million contract to build, assemble, test, and deliver initial low-rate production models of the AN/ASQ-235 Airborne Mine Neutralization System, or AMNS.
The contract includes service and support for the system along with engineering work. Contract options could eventually bring the total value of the program to $58.1 million.
