Raytheon building air and missile defense center for Qatar
Tewksbury, Mass. (UPI) Dec 8, 2014
An air and missile defense operations center that will integrate U.S. and European defense and radar systems is to be designed and built for Qatar by Raytheon. The work, which carries a maximum value of $75.6 million, comes under an undefinitized contract action for a Foreign Military Sales contract. The ADOC, the first in the Gulf region, is part of the Qatari armed forces modernization and recapitalization effort announced earlier this year.
