Northrop Grumman Wins Enterprise Air Surveillance Radar Study

Northrop Grumman has been selected by the U.S. Navy to conduct a study that explores the replacement of the SPS-48 and SPS-49 air surveillance radars currently on board U.S. Navy amphibious ships and aircraft carriers. The $6 million, 18-month Enterprise Air Surveillance Radar (EASR) Study, sponsored by the Office of Naval Research under its Integrated Topside program, will examine how an existing radar concept can be evolved to meet the EASR requirements.
