Russia 'delivers SAMs to Syria'

Russia has begun deliveries of Pantsir S1 air-defense missiles to Syria, some of which are expected to be passed on to Iran, Syria's strategic ally that has largely bankrolled the deal, according to the Interfax-AVN military news agency. Brazil on Monday deepened its military relationship with France by announcing plans to acquire 36 ultra-modern Rafale fighter jets -- along with the technology to build its own.     Washington may relocate the controversial missile defense system planned for Eastern Europe to the Balkans, Turkey or Israel, a Polish newspaper reports.
